Christmas Cards and Layout with Instructions

Hello Crafty Friends,

I’m playing catch up! I have quite a few blog posts that need to be published before 2018 rolls around! So here is the first one.  This Layout and the last card were published in a Kaisercraft Workshop Magazine a few months ago now…but I havent blogged them yet.  I wrote instructions for them so I thought I would pop on and share them with you : )

“Believe” Layout

Papers:

Kaisercraft Letters to Santa

P2389 Dear Santa, P2388 Christmas
Poinsettia, P2392 Poinsettia Garland

Kaisercraft Product:

Decorative Dies – DD757 Large Flourishes, DD589
Hydrangea Rectangle, DD402 Believe, KM109 Kaiser Mist – Red, GC 120 Glitter Card
Stock – Ruby, IP734 Ink Pad – Cherry, CS257 Background Stamp – Script, F664
Paper Blooms – Fire Red.

Instructions:

Splatter Red Kaiser Mist onto DEAR SANTA.  Stamp Script in Cherry Ink in diagonal from
corner to corner.  Ink edges with Ruby
Ink.

Cut Decorative Dies from Ruby Glitter
Card.  Fussy Cut leaves and flowers from
CHRISTMAS POINSETTIA. 

Layer fussy cut leaves and flowers in a
diagonal strip from corner to corner. 
Add in some Large Flourishes.

Mount photo onto POINSETTIA GARLAND.  Layer Hydrangea Rectangle on top of
photo.  Position photo into middle of
page. 

Embellish with four Red Paper Blooms and
“Believe” Decorative Die.

P2395 Be Merry (x2), P2392 Poinsettia
Garland, P2394 Believe in the Magic.

Kaisercraft Product:

Decorative Dies – DD793 Ornate Pack 1, DD388
Poinsettia, GC 120 Glitter Card Stock – Ruby, IP734 Ink Pad – Cherry, Paper
Blooms – Fire Red, CD101 Card Stock – Coconut, SB792 Pearls – Chocolate.

Instructions:

Cut Coconut Card Stock to 14 x 28cm (11 x 5
½ inches).  Fold in half to make base
card. Cut 2x Merry Christmas Sentiment squares from BE MERRY and adhere one to
base of card.

Cut POINSETTIA GARLAND to 14x7cm (5 ½ x 2 ¾
inches).  Adhere horizontally across the
middle of the card.  Ink edges of the
card in Cherry Ink.

Cut Ornate Pack Decorative Die (Border Edge)
out of Ruby Glitter Card Stock.  Adhere
to edges of POINSETTIA GARLAND Strip. 

Cut around “Merry Christmas” Circle Sentiment
and adhere to center of card with mounting tape.

Die cut 4 Poinsettia leaves from BELIEVE IN
MAGIC (Reverse) and place 2 in each corner of the card.  Add a Fire Red Paper Bloom on top of the
leaves.

Embellish with Chocolate Pearls.

FL609 Flourish Pack – Dear Santa, CT890
Collectables, CL104, CD511 C6 Card Pack – White.

Instructions:

Cut two “Christmas Greetings” Rectangles
from BE MERRY.  On one rectangle cut out
the ornate framed quote.  On the other
rectangle cut out the green oval quote.

Adhere POINSETTIA GARLAND to cover the base
card.  Cut a 15.2 cm x 4.5 cm (6 x 1 ¾
inch) strip of POINSETTIA GARLAND (Reverse) and adhere horizontally across the
middle of the card.

Take the Ornate Frame cut-out and adhere to
the middle of the card.

Take the green oval quote cut out and
adhere with mounting tape to the center of the card.

Embellish with a Christmas Tree Wooden
Flourish and a Holly Collectable.

FL609 Flourish Pack – Dear Santa, CT890
Collectables, CL104 Gel Pens 48 Pk, CD511 C6 Card Pack – White.

Instructions:

Cut three “May Your Christmas Be”
Rectangles from BE MERRY.  On one
rectangle cut out the framed quote.  On
the other rectangle cut out the curved music note section.  Leave the third as it is.

Adhere the unaltered green rectangle to the
base of the card.  Cut a 10 ½ x 3 ½
cm  (4 ¼ x 1 ½ inches) strip of SANTA’S WORKSHOP
(Reverse) and adhere horizontally across middle of the card.

Take the Curved Music Note cut-out and
adhere with mounting tape to the middle of the card.  Add a Poinsettia Collectable to the bottom
left-hand corner.

Take the framed quote cut out and adhere
with mounting tape to the centre of the card.

Colour a bow Wooden Flourish with red
glitter pen and adhere to top right-hand corner of framed quote.
